Directions:
- On a 5" x 3.75" piece of white cardstock, Stamp with the Weathered background using light blue ink.
- Using the swirl background ink randomly with green, blue and rose, lightly mist stamp with water, then stamp on top of the prior stamping (I use a sponge to apply ink). Repeat until the piece is covered.
- Now stamp randomly with the circles using the 3 different colors of ink.
- Using a sponge distress all around the edge using rose. In the lower right hand corner stamp sentiment with Stazon brown or other dark ink.
- On scrap piece of White cardstock at least 1.75" x 3.25", Using the sponge ink the Botanical leaves stamp randomly with the 3 colors of ink. Once inked, heavily mist the stamp with water ( not quite to the dripping point) and stamp image on a scrap piece of white cardstock. This may take a bit of practice if this is your first attempt with this technique- should look like a watercolor. Set aside to dry.
- Once the leaves are dry, cut out the image. Run the edges through the versamark and the emboss with the silver powder.
- Although it is not very visible in the image I did use very thin glitter highlighting on the leaves only of this image with stickles.
- On a strip of white cardstock 5"x 0.5", .Ink the strip with green using the sponge and then distress the edges with rose.
- Now ink the swirl background stamp with versamark (or embossing ink) apply silver embossing powder, and heat set.
Assembly
First mount the strip to the created background about 1.25" in on the long left side. Then mount the leaves on the strip at the upper left hand side equal distance down from top and in from the side. Now mount this unto a green piece of cardstock 5.25" x 4. Once assembled mount onto a 5.5 X 4.25 size card.

Cut the entire image out of the embossed acetate, the kimono out of the embossed decorative paper and the circle design out of the embossed copper paper. Layer the circle design onto the kimono and then the kimono onto the acetate sphere. Layer the acetate sphere onto a piece of metallic copper paper cut the same size, taping under the kimono where it won’t show. Cut a larger circle from glossy black card stock and tape the layered sphere onto the circle.
- Cut out a 2 ½” x 6” piece of copper paper. Cover the front with red liner tape. Remove the liner and add metallic thread in a swirl design. Next add glass beads in a random pattern. Press the thread and beads down lightly to secure them. Trim any stray or loose threads. Sprinkle clear embossing powder over the piece and tap off excess. Heat with heat tool until the powder melts. Let cool and layer onto a piece of glossy black card stock cut slightly larger than the beaded panel.
- On the front of a 5” x 7” white card, layer a piece of glossy black card stock and then a piece of cream/gold decorative paper. Tape the beaded panel to left side of the card front. Using foam mounts on the center and right side that will not be over the beaded panel and red liner tape on the left side, mount the Kimono Sphere to the card front. Tie gold, copper and gold/copper Mizuhiki cords into decorative knot and tape to the front of the card.

Detail Black Embossing Powder
Assortment of Stamping Inks (Blue, Red, Purple, Black, Yellow)
Markers (Yellow, Orange)
White gel pen
Crystal Lacquer (or Diamond Glaze)
Gold Glitter Glue
|
Directions:Pumpkin Head Figure:
- Stamp twice on white card stock with Versa Mark ink. Sprinkle with black detail embossing powder. Heat Set.
Layer 1: Color tiny candy pieces in background with markers, then paint around those carefully with your choice of paint medium. I used Twinkling H2O's by Luminarte in different blue shades. When paint is dry put dabs of 3-D crystal lacquer on the small candy pieces for dimension and glitter glue in gold on the stars.
For the pumpkin figure, bat and Halloween Bag: Paint with Radiant Pearl Paints. (note, since Radiant Pearls are sometimes hard to find now, you could substitute Twinkling H2O's by Luminarte, or a mixture of Twinkling H2O's with some Gum Arabic and Pearl Ex powders for extra 'twinkle').
I painted both pieces the same, you could probably get away with just painting the background on the first layer.
Once paint is dry on Layer 2, cut out pumpkin figure and bag and affix to Layer one over the same stamped image with pop up dots. Cut out bat and do the same. I added white gel pen lines on bat for more detail. I also stamped on more layer of scrap white cardstock just the Halloween bag with versa mark ink and black detail powder, heat set, and cut out the little kitten and added it to the top layer for more dimension with a pop dot. I added some crystal lacquer to the bat as well.
The pumpkin head figure was attached to a mat of mulberry paper who's edge was dampened and pulled all the way around it. Then that whole thing was affixed to a mat of orange colored card stock, which was then affixed to another mat leaving 1/8" border of black. Peel off gold border stickers were placed along the orange layer of mat. That whole mat with pumpkin image was then affixed to the candy background paper.
Candy background paper: Randomly stamp the different candy images in a very light blue ink on white cardstock. I used Colorbox Chalk ink Ice Blue. After that you can then stamp the same images close to the Ice Blue inked images in different colors for the jellybeans, black ink for the rest of the candy pieces. The Candy Corn and wrapped candy pieces will be in black ink and then using markers to color in the different layers. On a small separate scrap of white cardstock stamp a few of the larger and smaller candy corn images, color them in with markers and top with clear crystal lacquer, let dry. After all of the candy is stamped, gently chalk around random pieces with some darker colors to create a shadow effect. Finish with applying crystal lacquer on random pieces of candy to give them dimension, let dry.
Affix the pumpkin matted piece to the candy background piece and then add a 1/8" black cardstock mat to that.
Cut out the candy corn pieces from the scrap white cardstock and affix randomly to the card with small pop dot pieces to give it all a 3-D effect.
Affix the entire piece to an orange cardstock card, and as a final touch, add some peel off corners.
Stamp your choice of verse inside. Since the card them was self explanatory, I didn't use a greeting on the front as it would have covered up detail.
