"Egyptian Collage"
Stamp Artist - France Chevalier

Directions

  1. Stamp image onto background and onto vellum using the black ink.
  2. Cut image on background around the outside border of the image, following, more or less, the texture of the outside of the line.
  3. Cut the lady and hieroglyphics behind her, and the postage stamp, from the vellum piece.
  4. Affix the postage stamp and the lady over the background with 3M Vellum tape.
  5. Sand the sides and edges of the piece of Bazzil card stock. Sponge edges lightly with Pesto Adirondack ink.
  6. Affix to black card.
  7. Affix main image to card at an angle.
  8. Preheat your oven at 130°C (or approximately 260°F)
  9. Place your Krafty Lady Art Mould® onto a piece of aluminium foil.
  10. Pour a bit of the Franklin Opals in the mould, and a bit of the Tarkine to almost fill the mould to the top. And place onto an oven proof surface (the tray in the toaster oven should be fine). The Opals will melt and you will then need to add a bit more Franklin Opals to the Art Mould® wait for it to melt, and add some more until the Art Mould® is full.
  11. Let cool. Unmould and affix to the card with a clear adhesive.

Note: if your background card is a different colour than mine, which it will probably be, use Opals colours which will match your card. The more Franklin (clear) you add, the more transluscent your piece will be, you may prefer going with a solid colour or a mix of various colours.

Stamp Artist - Barbara Brooks

Directions:

  1. Cut out cardboard to size and then trace it onto the larger piece of black cardstock.
  2. Lay the CD inside the traced square and trace the CD also. Remove the CD go around the drawn circumference drawing randomly veering more outside the circle at the corners and inside of it at the sides. Cut this out starting from the center.
  3. Cover the underside (shiny) of the disk with alcohol inks and blender solution putting them on randomly to your liking. Cover with a layer of clear UTEE.
  4. Put three coats of gold UTEE on the cardboard. Press the disk into the final coat while it is hot.
  5. Put another coat of gold UTEE on the cardboard allowing some to get on the outer edges of the disk.
  6. Cover the disk with the cut out frame folding the ends over to the back and taping it.
  7. Stamp one side of the glass act. Flip it over and cover with alcohol inks thinning it with the blender. Trace the glass on a piece of white paper and attach it to the bottom. Add the finished glass piece to the center of the CD.
  8. Cut the edge of the gold metal/foil with decorative scissors. Put this strip through a crinkler. Pinch the crimped strip at the bottom and wrap it with tacky tape. Bind it with the cords and tie ends into a bow. Fan it out to get the finished fan.

"Love diorama"
Stamp Artist - Katarina Maserak

 Supplies

  • Rubber Stamps: Different stamps, depending on theme. I have used: love text from PSX,
french lily from rubber trouble, pen and envelope from inkywings, Love letters from inkadinkado,
Heart from Hero arts, Woman and train unknown
  • 2 A-5 Red cards
  • Black top folded card
  • Double sided tape
  • Gold micro beads
  • Black button
  • Gold Krylon pen
  • Heart punch or sticker
  • Heart stencil
  • Glitter glue or other decorative tools
  • Cutting tool and mat
  • Black stamp pad
  • Versamark stamp pad
  • Gold embossing powder
  • Post-it notes or similar
  • Embossing tool

Directions

  1. This card is made from two A5 cards - one for the back and one for the front. Prepare the two cards first using the diagram. I started by doing the front first. Choose a main stamp and a couple of smaller ones. Here, the woman is the central part. Stamp her and the smaller stamps in a circle, leaving the middle clean. Cut out the middle using the cutting tool. If you notice that the hole gets too big - don't worry. You can always glue cut out images at the edges, hiding the hole.
  2. Mask the hole together with the images around it. Stamp up the love text with a Versamark pad and stamp the whole card, re-inking the stamp every time. Sprinkle it with gold embossing powder, and heat. Put some double sided tape here and there and sprinkle gold beads over it. Finish off by putting a heart sticker or punch-out, and a button. Put some glitter glue on the pen, put a gold bracelet on the woman using a gold pen and so on.
  3. For the back: punch out a heart shape in scrap paper. Put the stencil on the back paper so the heart is in the middle when you put the front over it. Stamp a part of the love text with black ink. Take the punched out heart in scrap paper and put it on top of the stamped image. Then ink the love text once again, but now with Versamark. Do it so the whole paper is covered, sprinkle with gold powder and heat. Edge the back paper with a gold Krylon pen. Attach front and back according to the diagram. Attach all of this to the black top folded card.

Tip: You can adjust this card to any occasion, using the appropriate stamps. How about Christmas, wedding or a baby card!

Tear the denim amd tan into strips using the deckle ruler to keep it straight. Sew the strips together using a zigzag stich. Cut several tags out of the Bandana print paper. Cut one tag out of the denim paper and sew a pattern on it for a pocket, then sew it onto one of your paper strips. Spritz your paper strips that you have sewn together with water and crumple them up. Flaten them out and rub them with the Vintage photo. Rub the edges with Tea dye and old paper. Use the walnut stain on the corners to make them darker. Lay flat to dry. Distress your Bandana paper tags with various inks and attach a piece of corigated craft paper to each. Distress the 2 pieces of tan ribbon and attach to tags after you use the diamond hand punch to make holes. You can distress that too. Punch out the Folk star using the Gingham paper. I went around the edges with a brown pencil.  Then attach it to your smaller tag.  Stamp your Scorpion stamp onto the craft paper using
Memories Artprint brown ink. Color it in using Prismacolor pencils. I used about 10 different shades in this piece. Dont forget to give him a shadow for more depth. Trim and attach to your prepared tag.  Punch holes in the top of your pocket near the edge for brads. Attach your sewn paper strips to a sheet of red gingham paper. Punch holes in the corners for your brads. Attach the alphas on the side spelling out
Desert. Attach scorpion tag on thelower right hand side. Lay out your pictures and attach. Cover the bottom edges of the pictures with the tan diamond ribbon. Punch a hole on each side near the end of the ribbon and attach the flower brads. Put your cola bottle cap in the middle. Distress some red brickabrack and attach near the tops of the photos.
