Directions

  1. Apply various colors of decorative chalk to the large square of Lt. Aqua shimmer cardstock.
  2. Use the Encore Metallic Teal ink to stamped the Scale background onto the chalked cardstock and heat emboss the image with clear detail embossing powder to set the ink.
  3. Use Deco corner punch on the corners of this piece and the 4 x 4 inch medium aqua panel.
  4. Mat the two corner embellished panels together; then double mat them again with the remaining 4 ¼ and 4 ½ inch Bazzill squares.
  5. Chalk the edges of the final mat and attach the multi-matted panel to the center of the Card
  6. Stamp mermaid onto white cardstock with black Staz-on ink and heat set.
  7. Carefully trim out the mermaid and color her with various shades of Twinkling H2O’s mica watercolors; then attached her to the central panel.
  8. Stamp the watch face onto Color Laser Printer Transparency Film with the black Staz-on ink, heat set it, trimmed it and color the watch bezel with a silver leafing pen from the backside of the transparency.
  9. Next trimmed a round piece of aqua shimmer cardstock slightly smaller than the stamped transparency watch image and mount a vellum sandcastle sticker which I had accented with decorative chalk.
  10. Mount the transparency watch image over the sandcastle background using spray adhesive, attached the image to the center of the multi-mated panel and attached a no-hole clearz circlez (looks like a watch crystal) over the transparency covered image.
  11. String clear seed beads alternated with larger matt aqua beads and tied them into a circle to fit around the clearz circlez.
  12. Attach the beaded ring around the outer edge of the clearz circlez.
  13. Stamp three scalloped shells with teal encore metallic ink onto light aqua cardstock and punched them out with a decorative shell paper punch.
  14. Add the shells to the three exposed corners of the mermaid panel.
  15. Use decorative punches on the two 4 ½ x 5/8 cardstock strips to create a decorative border.
  16. Add the Lt. Aqua shimmer strips behind the decorative punched strips, chalk the edges of the strips and attached them to the top and bottom of the card.
