  2. Stamp the stairs over the girl and mask the stairs.
  3. Stamp the trees three times in the background.

Technique
Collage, Distressing, Paper Bag

Directions:

  1. Start with lightest color of ink and working your way to the darkest, collage all stamps ((Except words and Coffee themed ones)) by repeat stamping to build your fall color base - completely cover all sides of your bag. Remember to stamp off the edges of the bag.
Use stencil brush and completely cover with Distress Ink.
  2. Fold bag in half to form your card.
  3. Starting with the front cover, choose 3 coordinating colors of blue paper, a navy ribbon and navy fibers. Cut a 3 inch square of your lightest paper and cover with crystal lacquer. Set aside to dry!!
Next trim papers to form a large double mat, adhere with double-sided tape. Distress with stencil brush.
Stamp Maple leaf with India Ink, trim out image very closely, adhere to center with pop-dots.

** Using your DRIED lightest 3 inch square of paper, cut into fourth. You now have 4 small squares. Cut again into half, cutting diagonally to make "photo" corners. DO Not worry that the paper will not cut into perfectly straight lines, that added to the distressed look. Use your finger to twist the smaller pieces of lacquered paper, this will add cracks into the Crystal Lacquer. Adhere to card front.
  4. Embellish front with ribbon, button, fibers, stickers, and tags.

    INSIDE CARD :
  5. First: open flat, using a small mat inside of your bag, create to hole for your brad. Add closure to the front of the brad, then open prones inside of the bag to secure to the brad. Hint - you will have a hole on the back of your card if you do not use the mat inside!
Using mustard paper, cut 7 pieces 1 1/2 wide x 2" long. Distress, trim with copper paint pen.
    1) Using the first 6 - spell out the letters for the word AUTUMN using Navy ink, adding in Baroque Burgundy a few small leaves to embellish. Adhere by spacing evenly across the top of your paper bag.
    2) Layer the last piece with a scrap of dark blue from your front cover, embellish with "Dream" sticker, small leaf stamp, and fibers wrapped around 2 corners. Adhere to lower right corner.
  6. Stamp in India Ink 3 of Coffee stamps from Cube - clean stamp well. Stamp Coffee bag, and coffee cup on lightest brown paper using Chalk ink in Burnt Sienna. Trim with copper paint pen, layer on dark brown. Adhere to the inside "flat" to create your surprise invitation. Write in your own hand writing.

Optional Step: Use vellum and a template of a square CD mailer to make your own handmade envelope to mail. Postage for a square envelope is $.49, a little more than regular envelopes.

Supplies

  • Rubber Stamps:
    Saying/After Midnight
Cabin Scene (include Pines,Mountains,Bridge), Crocus/My Heart Stamps for You
    Muse/Mostly Animals

Crocus stamped in permanent black ink and masked. Cabin scene stamped in the same black ink.

Scene was then colored in inks and markers, border outlined with a gold paint pen. This frame was then applied to a dark blue card stock and then matted on a light blue card. A seperate crocus and cabin scene image were stamped in the permanent ink, colored and cut apart. Pine tree was added to the yard and crocus were added and pulled out of the frame. Muse was colored in markers and cut out, layering it on top of the corner crocus. Stamped saying in sky was done with a darker blue marker ( by coloring the words and omitting the outline of a frame on the stamp). Glitter was added to the pine trees.
