| Directions:
I brayered background
with Cappuccino pad, flipping brayer 180 degrees to match up
rainbows. I brayered over it again to intensify colors. Used
background scraps to stamp large dragonfly on after I had misted
them with water to blend colors. Misted used brayer and rolled
remaining lighter color onto cream cardstock. Cut into small
squares and stamped smaller dragonfly in black on each. Cut out
larger dragonfly. Cut square of cream cardstock (for beads) and
ran through Xyron 510 permanent adhesive cartridge along with
the small dragonfly squares, and the silver squares which I cut
about 1/4" larger than the bead square. The xyroned bead
square I poured spice beads over; mounted on largest silver square.
Mounted all squares to black cardstock as shown, with small dragonfly
squares just touching tips of large silver square and with small
silver squares partially under large silver square. Mounted large
dragonfly on beaded square with foam tape. Mounted all on background. |

"Vibrant Indian Corn"
Stamp Artist - Patty Tamler

IMAGES: Indian Corn (015 D) |
- Stamp image on acetate. (Ranger 213 works very well. Memories
also works well, but please let it dry
well, like overnight.)
- With printed side up, fill in the design with Crystal Lacquer.
(You can purchase this with color already added. I also like
to start with clear and add Dee Gruenig's inks for use with compressed
sponges.) Let the Crystal Lacquer set up overnight to be safe.
- Buy or make a frame style photo or artwork display card. (You
can make one easily from a tri-fold card by cutting a frame out
of an end panel & folding it over your artwork.) For this
card and many I make with this technique, black seems to be the
most stunning frame for displaying artwork. |
-
Try different light-reflecting cardstocks behind the image. Place
the one you choose in the frame, For this card, I used metallic
gold cardstock behind my stamped image. Over this piece, insert
your artwork on acetate with the side you colored away from you
and the smooth side toward you.
- This image is wider than is the frame opening so I used a craft
knife to cut around the otherwise hidden areas of the image (the
corn husks) and I pulled those up over the frame which gives
the whole image more dimension.
- Add greeting, message, etc., as desired. |
