"Dad"

Supplies:
- Inks: Memories Black and Sepia, Adirondack inks: butterscotch.
Ranger Distress inks: old paper and vintage photo.
- Assorted stickers as per sample. Personal pictures used that
have been scanned and printed.
- Misc. papers as desired. Mat board frame.
- Liquitex gel medium for glue.
- Double sided foam tape for images.
- Black card stock cut to size for 5 x 7 card. White card stock,
assorted decorative papers of choice.
- RubberStamp used from Stampsmith from the "Floral Alphabet"
the Letter "D"

| Cut card stock to 5 x 7 size for card. Cut decorative
paper 1/4 inch smaller and paste on front. Image of man in frame
aged with inks and glued to mat board frame that has been aged
also with inks. Place this in center of card and then attach
stickers as sample shown and glue other images in place with
double sided foam tape to raise and give depth. Using stickers
spell out "DAD" and place on card. Stamp the Letter
"D" from Stampsmith Floral alphabet plate on a piece
of cardstock that was previously crackled with gold and off white
paint. Glue to card and place gold star stickers as shown in
sample. |

Directions
Fold cardstock to 4.25x11.50
Cut out with tie template I made.
Stamp large squares of color all
over card.
Stamp images randomly on color blocks.
Attach brad for tie-tac centered 2" from top
of tie.
Greeting was computer printed, cut to fit
and glued inside.

- Beige Cardstock

- Stick On Earrings
- Black Permanent Memories Ink

- First computer generate the saying onto beige cardstock,
leaving a portion below the saying for the stamped image to be
placed.
- Ink up Valerie stamp with Black Memories permanent ink and
place the impression below the saying.
- With chalks color in Valerie, and every so often seal the
work with the fixable spray.
- Then do the background around Valerie also with chalks and
seal periodically to seal the artwork.
- Mount this onto black cardstock to make a frame.
- Place this onto a beige card.
- Add the fiber to the upper left corner of the card.
- To finish add the stick on earrings to each corner of the
framed image.

"Laugh and Live More!"

Directions:
- Cut white cardstock to 10x7, fold in half & crease with
bone folder.
- layer torn fabric scraps onto white card, and adhere with
craft glue.
- Randomly stamp flower stamp with Versamark onto white card.
Chalk using golden yellows & browns to resemble sunflower.
- Stamp Laugh image onto yellow cardstock using Black Soot
ink. Emboss with Black EP.
- Crop image, and mount onto blue card stock, leaving ~1/4"
border.
- From primary yellow cardstock, tear bottom matte to fit previously
matted stamp image. Bottom layer should have somewhat random
edges, slightly larger than 1/4". Randomly stamp flower
stamp with Versamark onto primary matte. Chalk using golden yellows
& browns to resemble sunflower.
- using pop dots, mount blue matted image over torn yellow
matte.
- Slightly off-center, and at an angle, mount pop-dotted image
onto card.
- Poke a small hole into the crease of the card, and thread
several thicknesses of floss through the hole and around the
card front. Tie a charm to the floss prior to knotting off.
- Using Chalk-alot blue inks, edge the card with a direct to
paper technique. Follow up with shades of yellow chalk.

"Father's Day Travels"

- Tan, black and white cardstock (Marco's Paper Products)
- Pearl Ex True Blue Powder (Marco's)
- Adirondack denim ink (Ranger)
- Sepia Archival Ink (Ranger)
- Encore Gold pigment pad (Tsukineko)
- Black Document Inkpad (Stamp Zia)
- Duo Adhesive (USArtQuest)
- Vellum tag (unknown)
- Typewriter letter stickers (Sticko-available at Wal-Mart)
- "wave" decorative scissors (Fiskars)

- Stamp map on white cardstock with Sepia ink. Overstamp quote
with Document ink. Tear around edges and edge panel with Sepia
and Denim inks. Set aside.
- On large tan panel, stamp maps and compass with Sepia ink.
"Spot" Duo Adhesive in areas and let dry. Lay down
Pearl Ex Powder over some of the adhesive and then cover with
gold leaf flakes. Brush all off. Trim panel to 4 ¾ x 6
¾ with decorative scissors.
- Fold black cardstock and cut to make 5 x 7 card. "Smear"
gold ink randomly along edge of card (with finger). Adhere tan
stamped panel and text to top of card.
- Stamp anchor randomly on top of all with Document ink.
- Apply sticker letters to tag and adhere to top of card. Adhere
gold embossed ship to top left corner.

"Grace"

Directions
- Face was stamped in Black permanent ink and masked.
- Water and pines stamped and masked, train stamped and masked.
- Mountains added and masked, then sky was added. All masks
removed.
- Magic markers and dye inks used in coloring. Frame outlined
with
a gold paint pen, then layered off to the left side, on dark
green card stock which was
stamped in a lace pattern and embossed in gold. Leaves were stamped
in permanent black ink.
- Colored with markers and cut out. Then they were layered
with fun foam on the right of the card, overlapping the frame.

"Freedom Domino"

- Domino soak in bleach over night and drill hole across top
- Color box Chalk inkpads

Directions:
Apply random direct to domino chalk pads darker at edge lighter
at middle. Spray with fixative between each color. Stamp images
with stazon, spray with fixative. Hint: make sure stazon is really,
really dry and use light layers of spray to avoid image running.
With q-tip apply more chalk inks around outside of image to make
it pop out. Cover with crystal lacer. String on cord and bead
as desired.

"Ocean Ballet"

TECHNIQUE:
Spray sheet of Mulberry Paper with gold and black webbing spray
and set aside to dry. Spray Leather Embossed Paper with gold
spray paint and set aside to dry. Apply Adirondack inks in various
colors to Gloss cardstock using make up sponges, spritz with
alcohol and dry with heat gun until desired pattern is achieved.
Stamp Ocean Ballet using Versafine ink on this patterned
paper and emboss with clear powder. Cover the
cardboard piece with the mulberry paper using a glue stick. Layer
with the gold painted leather paper and then with the stamped
image. Stamp Italian Script using Stream ink and Listen using
VersaFine Black - then emboss with clear embossing powder. Tear
this and attach using glue dots to the bottom of the card.

Directions:
Stamp and emboss still life and sentiment on Fox River cardstock
panels. Stamp music background on Unryu, trim with deckle cutter.
Attach cardstock panels to Unryu, then attach these panels to
a Riptide panel. Attach to card make from Fox River cardstock.

"One Flag"

TECHNIQUE:
Stamp mirror image on glossy cs. Stamp woman on circle tag and
edge both images with copper pen. Stamp One flag saying with
pens. Trim and mount to a piece of star with a glue dot.
Fold a 6 x 6 piece of blue cs in half. Cut a piece of red and
white vellum in a triangle. Trim with decorative scissors. Fit
onto blue cs side by side. Glue with Diamond Glaze. Glue flag
ribbon down the middle of the vellum from top left to bottom
right.
Punch a hole in the right top corner and place tag on card. Place
a glue dot under tag to make it pop out. Glue mirror image to
top left corner with two pop dots.
Stamp portrait from Post Modern Design stamp on glossy cs. Cut
a piece of transparency to fit under frame. With Diamond glaze
attach frame. Use pieces of pop dots to attach picture to frame.
With pop dot mount under round tag. Mount One flag saying in
lower left corner. Glue heart button in lower left corner of
saying. |
