SUPPLIES:

  • Three tags approximately 3-3/4 by 1-1/2 (I made the tags for this card using a manila file folder.)
  • Black reinforcement rings
  • Various cat eye pigment inks
  • Black Brilliance ink
  • Blue pigment ink
  • Feathery bronze fiber
  • Khaki, gold and eggplant card stock
  • Rubber Stamps: Red Castle Plate #42440 -Fish of your choice along with one fishing lure

Directions:

Attach black ring protectors to the tag holes. Place the tags down side by side and with the edge of a piece of cardstock colored in blue pigment ink drag the edge across the tags to create a water effect. Stamp the fish images using various cat eye pigment inks of your choice. I randomly selected colors and dabbed the pads to achieve the mottled appearance.

Stamp the fishing lure in black brilliance ink. Attach fibers to each tag tucking the ends of the fiber underneath and leaving only the outside ends to dangle free.

Layer the tags by leaving a small space in between on a green khaki card bordered by a slightly larger yellow card. Mount the completed card front to a folded eggplant card.

With round couzzel ,cut a circle on top of light brown cardstock. stamp and color the fishing bear by Impressive Stamps-#e2127, emboss and glue to the back of the circle. stamp, cut out and color the fish by Peddlers Pack.

Using 81/2 X 5 1/2 red card stock, fold in half to form 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 card. On front of card, cut off 2/3 of front flap, leaving approximately 1/3 of flap by fold. Cut 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 black card stock and glue to red card stock flap to form full card front. Take another piece of red card stock and cut to fit the black card stock extension, leaving small border of black showing. Glue red rectangle to black section of front flap.

Stamp image on leftover red card stock using black pigment ink. Emboss with detail black embossing powder. Cut down image to a rectangle , leaving red border surrounding image. Glue to black card stock, and cut to leave small black border surrounding red card stock image.
Using Lace' metal template, scrap piece of gold vellum and craft knife, cut and fold decorative strip. Use scotch vellum tape to attach to red card stock flap, leaving a red border surrounding the vellum.

Punch small holes and add gold ribbon for embellishment.

Rubber Stamps: Red Castle, Inc unmounted plate # 42360.

Press snake stamp into a mixture of tan and transparency sculpey III clay.  Bake as directed. Lightly paint the front with black glaze vernis made by Plaid. Let dry. Take a brush and lightly paint the image with antique gold Pearl Ex. Then use red metallic rub on over the snake image only. This will
cause the gold to go into the stamped image of the snake. Also gives a little color to the snake.

Take a cinnamon colored piece of cardstock and tear the edges and stipple with brown dye ink. Layer the clay piece onto the cinnamon cardstock and a leather looking piece of texture paper. Then place on top of shelf liner (I found this great shelf liner at Target. This is actually the underside. The other side looks like a tight bamboo weave in a zig zag pattern.) Finish
by placing on a black card.
