Turquoise dye ink sponged on sky, toward center and a darker turquoise ink sponged in the center. Bird masks removed and colored in markers. Entire scene is then sponged with Antique Paper Distress Ink. "L" mask removed and "L" is colored in a red marker. Frame is cut with an exacto knife, diamonds colored with marker and applied to scene with "L" centered in the middle. Scene is then matted on red card stock, then on black card stock. Instructions:
Glue a piece of pink cardstock to the black card front. Take a piece of the Basic Grey patterned paper and cut it to a slightly smaller size of the card size. On half of the smaller panel, take the Crackled Diamonds stamp and stamp it on using the Peeled Paint ink. Taking the other piece of patterned paper and tear one edge and glue it to the other half of the panel that doesn’t have the diamonds on it. Ink the edges of this panel with the brown ink before adhering it to the card. Next stamp the Renaissance woman on white paper and use water colors to color her in. When dry, cut out image and glue to the side of the panel that doesn’t have the diamond background. Finally, using the Black Stazon, stamp the Bright Blessings phrase onto a piece of transparency paper and glue that to the diamond printed side.

"Geisha"
Stamp Artist - Katarina Maserak

Supplies

  • Rubber Stamps:
  • stamp from Stampabilities ”Spring maiden” JR1021
  • green and purple cardstock
  • gold paper
  • twinkling H2O's ”Olive vine” and ”Wine & roses”
  • black inkpad
  • texture plate
  • quickutz alphabet ”Marisa mini”
  • quickutz tool (or similar)

Directions:

Stamp the image of the geisha on a white piece of paper with black permanent ink. Let dry or heat
set to make it go faster. Color the image with twinkling H2O's with olive green and purple as
shown. Keep a rectangular piece of the paper and cut out the parts of the geisha that are outside of
the white shape. Mount on a gold piece of paper and set aside. Take a piece of green cardstock and
dry emboss it with leaf shapes. I used a fiskars texture plate, but I'm sure you can use your cuttlebug
templates or similar. Mount the geisha image to the embossed green cardstock leaving a border
about 1” wide. Mount all of this to a purple square card. Finally, with your quickutz cut out the
recipient's name and glue to the purple card.
