Supplies
Stamps: After Midnight Southwest Dragonfly, Small Southwest Butterfly
36 Gauge Aluminum Tooling Foil cut to size 3¼" x 4¼"
Wooden Stylus
Brilliance Ink Pads: Graphite Black, Mediterranean Blue, Pearlescent Sky Blue, Victorian Purple, Pearlescent Purple, Jade Green, Pearlescent Lime, Platinum Planet

Metallic Silver Pen
Deckle Edge Scissors
Fibers
Dark Blue, Lavender, and Cream cardstock
5 ¾" x 5 ¾" white folded card

Stamp the dragonfly image diagonally across the aluminum tooling using black brilliance ink. Gently trace only the outline of the image one time to give the impression. Flip the metal over; using cotton swabs, apply Jade Green, Victorian Purple, and Mediterranean Blue ink to the inside portion of the design. Heat set with heat tool between applications of each color. Flip metal over and emboss entire design with stylus as usual. Flip over again and run stylus around edges to make design stand out more. Fill the back of the design with Diamond glaze to make impression solid. Once dry, use ruler to gently mark off ¼ border on backside. Use wooden stylus to make score and fold over edges. Use sponge daubers to apply Pearlescent Purple, Pearlescent Sky Blue, and Pearlescent Lime to outer area around dragonfly image. Heat set with heat tool. Apply a layer of Diamond Glaze and embellish with micro clear beads.

Use double sided adhesive to adhere metal piece to dark blue cardstock which was trimmed with deckle scissors and edged with silver metallic pen. Layer this off center with fibers on lavender, cream and background cardstock. The background was made by randomly stamping the small southwest butterfly and the southwest dragonfly on a piece of blue cardstock using Platinum Planet ink. Adhere to folded card to complete.

Place a sheet of plastic wrap on table. Soak the fabric in water and wring out. Hand press it flat on the plastic. Put drops of the dyn-na-flow in small containers .Add a few drops of water to thin it out and use a wet paintbrush to apply to fabric.

Stamp goddess doll on fabric using fabrico ink pad in black. Use Fabrico markers to color in some of the design but not all. You want the Dyn-na-flow to show threw. Fold fabric in half and cut around image leaving about 3/8” of extra fabric around edges. Hand stitch around the outer edges. Using an exacto knife start a hole in the center of the doll and finish with a scissors. Stuff doll using a skewer to push the stuffing in till full. Do the head and arms first. Gather a bunch of fibers and tie them in a knot. Put the knot between the front and back of the fabric. Stuff the head and arms and breasts and stitch across the breast area to make it puffy. Do the same for the legs. Run a line of stitching between the legs. Leaving the stomach area for last as you will need to stitch small areas and stuff them as you go. I went back around the stomach area with a red embroidery floss and used a satin stitch. Run some fibers threw the satin stitch and attach a celestial charm. Put a dot of fabric glue on the necklace and bracelets and attach the rhinestones.

"Greek Clock"

  • Rubber Stamps
Greek Clock — Bear Rubber Stamps
Greco-Roman Images: Blockhead Rubber Art Stamps
    Square clock— Magenta 14.243E
  • Cardstock: Glossy white, wine and lavender
  • Brilliance Pads: Pearlesent Blue, Purple, Victorian Violet & Gold
  • Dick Bantock Damson Plum Ink Pad
  • Sponge or Stipple brush; Adhesive Tape or Glue
Instructions: On a white 5 by 7 glossy cardstock design a grid to fit the stamps. I selected a standard nine-section format with two long horizontal grids on each end of the large center square that will hold the main clock image. Beginning with the darkest shade (Victorian Violet) stipple or sponge color out from the edges of the grids, masking the opposite areas to protect the grid pattern.

Then apply the purple and blue in the same manner. Burnish the glossy card with a paper towel or Kleenex to blend the colors. Heat set to dry.

Ink the stamps with Dick Bantock Damson Plum and stamp as shown. Begin at the top so that you don’t smear subsequent images, leaving the square clock stamp and the blue Palmate ornament to do last. The cable ornament images were stamped end to end in the long horizontal sections. The bottom left-hand image is the top portion of the Greek clock stamp. Heat set to dry.

Ink the Palmate ornament with pearlescent blue ink and stamp on a scrap of paper before you stamp randomly on the card. Do the same with the Magenta clock image. Heat set. Using a stipple brush and Brilliance gold ink, add gold to the center of the clocks and to the door openings of the left-hand ancient windows image.

Mount the completed grid card onto a slightly larger wine colored card and then a purple card leaving a quarter inch border and then adhere to a wine card, leaving a narrow border.
