  • Inks: Distress Inks - Vintage Photo, Scattered Straw, Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans, Black Soot, Tattered Rose, Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick, Dusty Concord, Blue China and Spiced Marmelade, ColorBox Fluid Chalk – Chesnut Roan, Archival Ink – Jet Black
  • Paper: Beige, teal and green cardstock, 7Gypsies – patterned paper, Canson – watercolor paper
  • Other Materials: Design Originals / Tim Holtz – Distressables and doo-dads, 0757 Numbers, Pebbles Inc. – tag sticker, foamtape, star stickers, fiber, fishing lure, spritzer bottle with water, waterbrush, shoe brush, corner rounder punch and brads

"Gone Fishin'"

Directions:

  1. Apply Scattered Straw, Peeled Paint and Blue China Distress Inks to a creme watercolor paper using DTP.
  2. Spray with water and use a shoebrush to mix the colors, let dry. Stamp the background using Frayed Burlap, Blue China and Walnut Stain ink. Cut the panel to size and ink the edges with Chesnut Roan ink.
  3. Stamp the image on creme watercolor paper, color the image using Distress Inks and a waterbrush, trim the image leaving a small creme edge. Mount the image to the background using foam tape, attach fiber and a fishing lure.Cut out numbers from the Distressables sheet, ink the edges and mount to a small sticker tag.
  4. Apply fiber to the tag and mount to the panel, attach star stickers. Use a corner rounder punch on a teal panel, attach to the prepared panel as shown. On harlequin patterned paper, paint some of the diamons using Blue China ink and a waterbrush. Stamp text from Kids, plate 2 using Frayed Burlap ink.
  5. Cut to size and round the corners of two teal scraps of paper, mount to the prepared harlequin paper panel. Mount to a green panel and then to a beige card, attach the prepared panel with the image to the card.



"Layers of Wishes"

    "Sending You" and "Wishes for a" - Anna Griffin by All Night Media
    "Happy Birthday" - Rubbernecker Stamp Company

  • White, red and metallic silver card stock
  • Red, silver and black pigment inkpads
  • Clear, silver detail and black detail embossing powders and heat tool
  • Craft knife and straight edge
  • Small, medium and large heart punches
  • Foam mounting tape
  • Red and clear flat back crystals and adhesive

Directions:

  1. Stamp and emboss Inspiration background three times using the following color combinations:
    Stamp with red pigment ink on white card stock and emboss with clear powder.
    Stamp with black pigment ink on silver card stock and emboss with detail black powder.
    Stamp with silver pigment ink on red card stock and emboss with detail silver powder.
  2. Cut the red/white background out just outside the edge of the design. Cut the black/silver background just inside the edge of the design. Out of the black/silver background, cut out one double square, one full square and one smaller square, as shown on the finished card. Punch a small heart out of the smaller silver square and reserve. From the silver/red background piece cut one long four square frame and two small squares as shown on the finished card. Punch medium hearts out of the two squares. Punch two small hearts out of the waste and reserve.
  3. Stamp and emboss Inspiration Square three times using the following color combinations:
    Stamp with red pigment ink on white card stock and emboss with clear powder.
    Stamp with black pigment ink on silver card stock and emboss with detail black powder.
    Stamp with silver pigment ink on red card stock and emboss with detail silver powder.
  4. Cut out the black/silver Inspiration Square. Punch a small heart out of the center and reserve. Punch a large heart out of the center of the red/white Inspiration Square. Cut out the center of the red/silver Inspiration Square to make a frame. Punch a medium heart from the waste and reserve. Layer the images with foam tape, adding the punched hearts to the center.
  5. Stamp Blank Word Frame, "Sending You" and "Happy Birthday" with red pigment ink on white card stock and emboss with clear powder. Cut out all and layer the words on red card stock. Stamp "Wishes for a" with silver pigment ink on red card stock and emboss with detail silver powder. Cut out and layer on silver card stock.
  6. To assemble, layer the red/white background on a piece of red card stock cut ¼ " larger and then to a square white card. Using foam tape, add the black/silver background layer. Tape the layered Inspiration Square to the upper left corner. With foam tape, add the red/white and silver/red frames, squares, hearts and layered words as shown. Glue on the crystals.

"Wee Fairies and Leprechauns"

Directions:

Lg, leprechaun stamped and masked (images all stamped in permanent black ink). Small leprechaun and fairires stamped and masked. Shamrocks, weeds and grass stamped.Sky sponged in medium blue dye ink. Grass sponged in green dye ink and dirt in butterscotch dye ink. Bubbles stamped in Ancient Page Lime Ink. All masks removed. Coloring done in markers. "Top of the Mornin"" computer printed, cut out and layered on black cardstock. This was then added to the scene. The finished scene was mounted on black cardstock and then on a nile green cardstock. Finally some glue was added to the foreground and tiny gold chips were glued down and extended a bit out of the frame.
