"Kokopelli "
Stamp Artist - Vynette Hughes |
Stamp petroglyph background with dune pigment ink (Clearsnap)
on bond paper & emboss with clear powder. Mist the paper
lightly with water, then wad it up & smooth it out several
times. While the paper is still damp, rub caramel, butterscotch,
and ginger dye inks (Adirondack by Ranger) over the paper. The
ink will resist the embossed areas. Repeat the process of wadding
the paper, smoothing it out & adding ink until the paper
is completely covered. Mist with water as needed. When you're
satisfied with the ink coverage, let the paper dry flat.
Black emboss Kokopelli (Stamps Galore) on white paper. Apply
Metallic Rub Ons to the Kokopelli giving the image a beautiful
patina. Carefully cut out the Kokopelli & adhere to Faux
Batik paper. Tear the edges of the paper & layer to color
coordinated cardstock. Set aside.
Cut tan mat board to frame the Kokopelli. Stipple lightly
with caramel ink, & let it dry. Stamp marble texture (Judi
Kins) with dune ink & emboss with clear powder. Glue the
frame to the Kokopelli piece.
