April's "Stamp Artist Of The Month" is
Stamp Artist Patsy Rodriguez

Supplies

  • Purple card stock for the sandle shape.
  • Magenta b & t paper for the inside portion of the card with the invitation info.
  • Double stick tape
  • Fishing wire
  • Various beads
  • Rubber Stamps: Flower from a Close to My Heart set called " Loves me not"
  • 1/8 inch circle hole punch
  • Purple ink and 1 yellow marker

    Directions:
I made my own template for the shape of the sandle and then the inner shape as well and printed the invitation info on my computer. I stamped the flower and punched a hole on each side to put the wire through and added the beads to match. I then taped the end of the wire underneath and used the double stick tape to put it all together.

PopUp flower was cut with an exacto knife and folder on red swiss dot paper with a white back. This was glued onto the same swiss dot paper and the petals were cut, mirroring the PopUp. Then it was layered onto glossy white card stock. Center of flower was cut out with decorative scissors with dark golden card stock. Portrait was stamped with Adirondack black and punched, layering it on top of the golden center of the flower. Corners decoratively punched and layered on dark red card stock.Computer printed saying by myself was then added.

"Kitty giftbox"
Stamp Artist - katarina Maserak

Directions:

  • Start by stamping up the kitty image in black on a piece of white paper. Heat set and color them in. Use the gel pens on the outer kitties' ribbon and necklace. Put some sparkly glitter glue on the bug and the traces behind it. Set aside and let dry.
  • Use a template or open up an old giftbox, and trace it on an orange colored paper. Crease where needed and write up which sides should be glued together. Randomly stamp the bug with watermark over three sides of the box and on the top. Sprinkle with embossing powder and heat.
  • Cut out or punch two small tags in orange and red. Thread with fibers and tie on one of the handles. Write a suitable message like "happy" on one tag and "birthday" on the other depending on occasion.
  • 4 Stamp the little bug with black on a piece of shrink plastic. If you want you can punch a hole in the middle. Shrink it and either glue it on one of the tags, or thread it with goldthread and hang it by the fibers. You can also glue it on the bug above the kitties. This would make the main image and rest of the box very coordinated, since the same image is used.
  • 5 Cut out a piece of bigger orange card than the kitty image and mount it on a slightly bigger red card. Glue this on one side of the box as shown in the picture. Put dimensional tape on the back of the kitty image and mount it on top of the red/orange piece.
  • 6 Glue together the box, or leave it unglued and tucked away, ready to come out when you are in a hurry and need something special.
The box measures about 4x3 inches (9x6 cm)

TIP: You can also enlarge the box on a copying machine to fit the size you need.
