Stationary Holder

 Materials:

  • 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock (any color)
  • Scoring tool (bone folder, ruler, etc...)
  • Coloring Medium (Chalks, Color Pencils, watercolors, etc...)
  • Ribbon
  • Stamps
  • Hole punch
  • Deckle Scissors

    Instructions:
  • Step 1: Measure 1 1/2” in on the vertical (long) right-hand edge and score all of the way down.
  • Step 2: Measure 5 1/2” down on the horizontal (which is 1/2 way down the paper) and score.
  • Step 3: Fold the vertical flap in and press with your storing tool for a nice crisp edge.
  • Step 4: Now, fold the paper in 1/2 along the horizontal score, and press with the scoring tool.  (You now have the stationary holder with its two internal pockets)

  • Step 5: Turn the paper so that it opens like a book.
  • Step 6: Diagonally fold the top corner of the front of the stationary holder, aligning the top edge with the left fold. Use your scoring tool to make a crisp fold.
  • Step 7: Open the diagonal flap and trim with deckle scissors.
  • Step 8: In this step, using the coloring medium of your choice, color the edge of the diagonal flap that you just cut with scissors.
  • Step 9: Stamp your images onto the stationary holder.
  • Step 10: Punch two holes in the lower-right side of the stationary holder (through all 4 layers.)
  • Step 11: Cut ribbon to 9 inches and trim the ends to an angle. Thread it in one hole and out the other. Tie the ribbon in a bow.
