Slide Pins




Materials needed:
Slides
Clear acetate
Double Sided adhesive sheet
Nail polish
Permanent black ink
TRIA-Ink (two or three colors)
Felt
Velcro
Krylon Leafpen
Double Sided. foam tape
Pin

Instructions:
  • Start painting your slide, just stipple lightly with nail polish and set aside to let it dry.
 



  • Now paint your acetate with the TRIA-ink, see polished stone technique, you can use a Krylon leafing pen for accents. When done set acetate aside to dry.
  • Stamp your image on another piece of acetate with memories black ( permanent ink) and let dry again.
  • Cut your stamped acetate at the desired size, a little bigger than the slide window!!!
  • Attach double sided.sticky sheet on the stamped side of the acetate.
  • Place now the TRIA-side, of the other piece of acetate, on the double sided.sticky sheet you already put on the stamped acetate.
  • Now cut the whole piece of acetate at the desired size and place it between your slide and close your slide good.
  • Attach at the backside a little pin with a piece of double sided.sticky foam tape.
  • You can always change your image by opening the slide and place another piece between.
  • You can also use a normal piece of stamped and colored cardstock and put this between the slide.
  • You can use pearl-ex together with clear nail polish on your slide(see example).  First put a little pearl-ex with a brush onto the slide and than cover this with clear nail polish.
  • Use magic leaf on your slide(see example)
