"Rainbow Reveal Technique"

I learned this technique from Pat Huntoon's Technique Junkies Newsletter.

It is a quick and easy technique which yields very colorful results.

Materials needed:

  • a variety of pigment inkpads
  • Dye-based rainbow pad
  • White matte cardstock
  • Brayer
  • Bleach
  • Rubber stamps - Stamp Zia's Fern Collage

Stamp Artist Martha Myers

Step 1.
Cover cardstock with a variety of colors of pigment ink using the DTP technique (Direct to Paper). Heat set or wait to dry.

Step 2
Brayer rainbow dye ink randomly over the pigment inks. Cover the entire piece. Heat set to dry.

Step 3
Cover stamp with bleach and stamp over top of inks. The bleach will remove the dye ink and reveal the colorful pigment inks below.

Step 4
Mount image to card front and embellish as desired.
