Stamp your Images:
1) Stamp your image in black
waterproof ink on heavy white cardstock and set aside.
2)
Stamp your image three or four times with black waterproof ink
on light weight white cardstock.
TIP: When you pick a rubber stamp to use for this project,
don't pick one with to many details. A stained glass type
of image is perfect.

Color your Images:
3) Color
your main image (on the heavier cardstock) using markers, watercolors
or inks and Dove blender. Since this is a holiday project,
use lots of glitter and glimmer in your paintings. Refer
to the tips and techniques pages for hints and tips on how to
use Powdered Pearls and Dove Blender and Powdered Pearls and
watercolors. Accent details with Pearls and gems and other
glitzy trims. Use Heat Activated Adhesive to trim edges
of robes, gowns, wings, etc. with Pearls, Beedz or glitters.
4) Choose an area of your image and paint as shown in
above example. On the main image just color in like a coloring
book. Don't do any detail or embellishing as it will be
covered over by the second layer. All you need is a base
coat (in case any of the image shows around the edges, you don't
want a white background showing). Save your 'fancy' coloring/painting
embellishment for the TOP layer.
5) On one of the images stamped on lighter cardstock,
work on the same area you just painted on the main image. Color
your top layer and embellish it then let it dry thoroughly. When
the section you are working on is totally dry, cut it out carefully
with an X-acto knife for detailed cutting.
Assemble your Images:
6) When
your image section is cut out, hold it face down in the palm
of your hand and use the burnisher or pointed end of a paintbrush
to create a soft, rounded curve to give dimension to the shape.
Mostly go around the edges and "cup" the section/shape.
Use your fingers or anything that will help you give it
a cup like shape. When you are happy with the shape, place
Popdots or tiny pieces of foam and double edged tape in the very
center of the element. Using tweezers, place the cup shaped
section and sticky dots right down on top of it's partner on
your main subject element. You may need to slightly reshape
the element.
7) Continue on until you have most of the project in 3D form.
You don't have to do every single element in the project.
