Figure A |
Materials:
2 - 6 1/2 x 4 1/2"
pieces of "Stiff Stuff"
1 - 4 1/2 x 1/4" "Stiff Stuff" (for binder)
1 - 5 1/2 x 2" piece of suede paper
1 - 4 1/2 x 1 1/2"
piece of Suede paper |
Stamp and
emboss a design on both of your 6 1/2 x 4 1/2" "Stiff
Stuff" pieces. As shown in Figure A.
One piece will be the front cover, the other will be the back.
In the sample shown at the top of this page, I used Zia Resist
and Dr. PH Martin's Craft Ink to create my background and stamped
with Stamp Zia's
large Orchid stamp.
On the inside covers, I used "Ink Ticklers", from Meer
Image, to apply coordinating colors of Craft Ink on the inside
of the front and back cover. See Figure B
Now you are ready to put your note pad holder together!
Run your suede paper through your Xyron, using one-sided permanent
adhesive.
Lay your 4 1/2 x 2" piece of suede paper, Sticky side up,
onto your work surface. Carefully place your 6 1/2"
x 1/4" binder in the center, from side to side and top to
bottom. See Figure B
Leaving about 1/8" gap from your binder, lay down your front
cover, and then your back cover.
See Figure B |

Diane's Tips:
You do not have to use Suede Paper. You can use any heavy
cardstock. You can even use masking tape, and then apply rub
'n buff . See samples of this technique here.
If you do not have a Xyron, book binding glue, available from
The Creative Mode, will also work
Make matching decorative
pens to go with
your note pad holder!
These make great gifts!
