Supplies:
Tools needed
hammer
eyelet tools
hammering mat
eyelets

Directions:

  • Step #1
You will need to punch a hole for the eyelet to go into. Using our all in one tool, pick a punch head as close as possible to the size of the barrel of the eyelet. Place on tool handle. Tap back of handle lightly with a hammer. Make sure you are using a hammering mat to protect your work surface.  Figuer 1

  • Step #2
Place eyelet into the hole. And turn project over so the barrel of the eyelets is sticking out the back side of the project.  Figure 2 & 3

  • Step #3
We are going to set the eyelet.  Put the setting head onto your tool handle. It is the one with the pointed end. Place point of setter into the middle of eyelet barrel. Tap the back of the tool handle lightly with your hammer remembering to stay on your hammering mat. The barrel of the eyelet will start to flare out. On to the next step.   Figure 5 & 6

  • Step #4
We are going to put the finishing head onto our tool. It is the flat one. place tool over back of eyelet and hammer lightly to finish flattening out the back of your eyelet.   Figure 7 & 8

    Now you are finished.
