August's project of the month is compliments of Diane Miller, A Monthly Rubber Stamps Club.

Materials Needed
Note Book -
3M PMA Positionable Mounting Adhesive or Book Binding Glue, from the
Creative Mode.  Art Papers, Faux Postage, Assorted Stamps, Inks, Embossing Powders, PolyShrink, Masking Tape or Duct Tape, and Rub n' Buff.

This is an easy and useful stamp art project to do. Make more than one while you're at it!
  • Select paper, rubber stamps, embossing powders and embellishments you'd like to use. Work on a paper size that is larger than the front and back cover of your notebook. Stamp, emboss, decorate your paper.

  • Trace about 1/4" larger than the front and back covers on your paper and cut each piece out.
  • Use PMA or Book Binding Glue on the back of each piece of paper.
  • Adhere one of your pieces to either front or back of book. Turn over and trim excess paper with your exacto knife. Repeat for other side
  • To make a matching binder, cut a piece of masking tape, or duct tape 1/4" longer than your notebook. Center spine of book on tacky side of your tape. Carefully trim excess tape from bottom and top with your exacto knife. Fold tape over and smooth both tape edges onto your book cover. You can use double thickness of tape for added strength.  Use Rub n" Buff to color.
  • If using larger books - use duct tape for binder.
  • When using spiral journals/notebooks (see examples below), cut you art paper for the front and back 1/2" smaller than actual journal size and center.
