Create frames with the selection of 5
1/2 by 4 1/4 inch pieces of cardstock. Create 2 circle frames,
2 oval frames, and 2 abstract frames, following the basic directions
for cutting and embossing with the Wizard.
Place a photograph or calendar page behind
each frame, and finish the "back" with another piece
of cardstock or decorative (marbled) paper.
Create an accordion fold for the spine.
Start with the longest piece of paper, and start folding until
you have enough folds for the 6 pages plus the front and back
covers.
Select a piece of cardstock for the front
cover and randomly stamp the background image with gold Brilliance
ink.
Put the pages and front cover of the book
together, in the "tops" of the folds. Similar to the
Project of The Month for the month of June, create a back cover
that wraps around to the front. See picture.
Decorate the cover: stamp cat on acetate
with document ink. Allow to dry. From the back, color fish with
metallic inks. Cover the back with an adhesive sheet or use a
Xyron. Remove backing and cover with magic leaf. Adhere an Abstract
"ring" to the front, trim, and adhere to the cover
as shown.
Each frame contains decorative items. They were all created the
same way.
Use coordinating or contrasting cardstock
for the base of the decorative items. Select a texture plate,
and run it through the Wizard with the cardstock.
Bring out the raised areas by swiping
an ink pad across it, using either dye or Brilliance ink.
Select a punch, and punch out the image(s).
Adhere to the frame with stick glue or
glue dots.
