Supplies:

  • RubberStamps
Wreath (Sarasota Stamps); message (KT Designs
  • Adirondack Color Wash Sprays
  • Adirondack Alcohol Inks
  • Adirondack dye inkpad(s)
  • permanent black inkpad
  • felt applicator; cosmetic sponge
  • clay coated or glossy cardstock
  • *Plastic leaves (see note below)

*This technique works on both clay coated and glossy cardstock. The glossy cardstock gives a "spottier" coverage with the sprays than the clay coated cardstock so I usually prefer the clay coated stock for my pieces.

  1. Lay plastic leaves on top of cardstock. Spray Color Wash Spray over piece. (I used Lettuce, Cranberry, Terra Cotta and Butterscotch). Heat set to dry.
  2. Swirl Alcohol inks over piece with felt applicator. (I used Latte and Espresso). Let dry.
  3. Sponge dye ink over top to add shadows (I used Raisin). Heat set to dry.
  4. Stamp images in black permanent ink on top and attach to card front.

*Note: you can use any object as your "mask" for the Color Wash Spray (different cardstock shapes, torn paper, paper clips, flowers, whatever).
