"UTEE Madonna"
Stamp Artist - Martha Myers

On cardboard panel, stamp Madonna (Stamp It!) and cut out. Cover with three layers of Interference Green Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE). Add layer of Stardust EP to third layer. While third layer is still hot, impress inked stamp (ink stamp ahead with gold pigment ink). Heat image to create smooth tile. Set aside.

Cover dark green background panel with gold and green pigment inks. Brush with Pearl White Pearl Ex and Midnight Green Powdered Pearls. Let dry. Stamp Starburst (Comotion Rubber Stamps) on top with white, gold and black pigment inks. Layer to gold panel.
Apply embossing in onto large panel (DTP) and cover with one layer of Interference Green UTEE. While hot, cover again with Stardust EP. Heat set. Notch corners and mount to gold panel. Punch hole in top left corner and thread gold metallic embroidery floss through hole. Tie knots in individual strands of floss.

On front of dark green card, swipe embossing pad and dust with Pearl White Pearl Ex. Mount all panels to card.

Stamp Madonna (Stamp It!) on black panel with Versamark Watermark inkpad. Brush on red, gold and green Powdered Pearls. Trim and mount to gold panel.

For background, mix the same colors of Powdered Pearls with Perfect Paper Adhesive. Stipple onto black cardstock. When dry, stamp Peace (Impression Obsession) with gold pigment ink and cut 1" strip off of edge with decorative edged scissors.

Mount background to black card. Cut right edge off of black card with decorative scissors and edge with gold leaf marker. Mount ½" strip of background paper to inside cover of card. Mount Madonna to right side of card and tie card with green ribbon.

"Dangling Ornaments"
Stamp Artist - Martha Myers

Create two background panels with Posh Impressions Rainbow Sponges and Inks. On larger white glossy panel, drop spots of red and green inks onto sponge and stamp onto panel. On smaller white glossy panel, edge sponge with red and green inks and create background with small "twists". Stamp "Joy" (Impression Obsession) on smaller panel with coal Ancient Page ink. Cut smaller panel into several pieces.

Adhere crumpled green tissue paper to white
cardstock panels with spray adhesive. Adhere rainbow panels to tissue paper panels. The smaller one was "pieced together" onto the tissue paper to create grid lines.

On scrap white glossy paper, apply red and green rainbow inks with compressed sponge. Stamp ornament (Stamp Francisco) three times with coal Ancient Page ink. Cut out and thread with silver embroidery floss.
Lay ornaments on smaller panel and glue strip of silver ribbon over top of the embroidery floss so that the ornaments dangle. Tie with fiber bow and more floss. Adhere all panels to white card and stamp and emboss Merry Christmas (Stamp Francisco) across top.

Stamp large snowflakes (Stamp Francisco) with Dr. Ph Martin's Sequin's Blue inkpak. Emboss with Stardust EP. Cut out. Apply white Liquid Applique to white portions of snowflakes and heat to rise.

Stamp and emboss Season's Greetings (unknown) to white panel with the same blue ink and Stardust EP. Stamp small snowflake (Embossing Arts Co.) randomly on panel with silver pigment ink and emboss with Stardust EP. Apply Liquid Applique to center of flakes and heat set.

Apply Dr. Ph Martin's Sequin's Blue inkpak to white panel (DTP). Emboss with Stardust EP and notch corners.

"Season's Snow"
Stamp Artist - Martha Myers
Stamp and emboss snowflake background (Printworks) on white card with same ink and powder. Mount panels to front of card. Mount large snowflakes with foam tape to top of card and embellish with paper strips tied with white and silver fibers.

Stamping with Rollagraph Wheels

Stamping with Rollagraph Wheels - Stamp Artist - Janet Ciaramitaro

Gingerbread wheel stamp - Stampin' Up!

 1. Load wheel and ink cartridge into handle for stamping. Get the ink started by rolling it several times on scrap paper until you see a clear, crisp image.
2. START AND END OFF THE CARDSTOCK! In other words, start rolling on your mat, continue across the cardstock, on to the mat on the other side. Roll in one direction, only one time.
3. If there are any light spots, you can ink them in with the same color ink.  If there are too many to ink in, start on another card and do it again. This
time, you might want to place two fingers on the top of the wheel handle, on either side of the wheel, and apply light pressure so that the wheel won't "rock" with your wrist as you roll across the paper.
4. Color in the desired areas. Stamp a greeting between the rows of rolled stamping. Viola!
A quick and easy card!

Merry Christmas

In red ink, Stamp Posh Impressions Duet Poinsettia randomly over white card stock. Leave a small space where you can stamp "Merry Christmas".  Take black Magic Mesh, ink with gold ink and emboss with gold powder and layer onto card stock.   In red ink, stamp another poinsettia on white card stock, cut out and using double sided thick foam tape mount to your card stock for a dimensional look.

Stamp Artist - Kaye Herweg
Image: "angels UMP68" Impressions of Faith

Supplies ---

1)
card stock vellum paper
2) white or white diamonds embossing powder
3) stylist
4) colored pencils

I embossed the angel on the vellum using white diamond powder....cut it out...used a stylist on the back side to push the wings up...colored the face and arms in flesh. Used double side stick tape to place it on the card that I had embossed the corners of.

Christmas Card

Materials

Stamps
: By Magenta

Papers: mirror blue card stock and light blue cardstock, glossy white
cardstock

INKS: All were Ancient Page made exclusively for StampinUp. Colors included Night of
Navy, only orange, and Baroque Burgundy.
Other: Colorbox stylus tools, glue stick

Stamp Artist - Kathy LaRocco
Instructions: This is the permanent ink technique described on the Colorbox video for
Permanent inks (Ancient Page). AP inks were blended on glossy panel using the stylus tool.
The Magenta Church scene was over stamped with back permanent ink. That was it! Cool
scene and a neat way to use those artist type stamps.

Holiday Cards

Stamp "Season's Greeting" image onto white card stock and emboss in your choice of color. This example was embossed in black, but I have crated the same card embossing in silver and gold for Christmas. The image was colored with markers and then layered on red card stock, and then onto forest green card stock.

Monochromatic Stamping

Sometimes one of the most striking techniques is monochromatic (or one-color) stamping. Sometimes, this means a variety of different shades and tints of the same hue; sometimes it simply means one color for everything - in the same shade and tint. This card illustrates the latter.

 1. Choose a color which fits the "mood" of the stamp(s) you're using.
2. Stamp and arrange the layout, including layering with background papers,
etc. (This background stripe paper was made with just a marker on white
cardstock - NOTHING could be easier!)
3. Sit back and enjoy the effect!

Homemade Mesh!

Stamp Artist - Janet Ciaramitaro
Stamp Artist - Janet Ciaramitaro

To make your own mesh, use wall repair tape (get it at the hardware store).  It's sticky on one side, and you can use that stickiness to attach embossing powder or glitter.  Here, I used embossing powder on the non-sticky side, then
embossed to get a full, rich color.  It makes a GREAT new and interesting background for your stamps - especially the "stitched" and/or rustic types of stamps.

Simple Christmas Cards & Rainbow Stamping

 1.  Select the side of the stamp to correspond with the portion of the rainbow pad to be sure the ink is placed where you want it.
2.  Stamp on cream card stock and cut out.
3.  Layer onto coordinating cardstock. Easy!

Dry Embossing on Vellum

For this project, use the heavier weight vellum, rather than the usual text weight paper.  You'll need the sturdy quality of this paper to get the most contrast.  There are two methods of using a stencil for dry embossing.

 1. Use a light table and place the cardstock over the stencil, and use a stylus to trace the lines of the stencil.
2. Put two stencils together, and sandwich the cardstock between. Be sure to use low-tack masking tape to keep the cardstock and stencils from slipping. I taped the stencils together at the top, then inserted the cardstock.

Using a stylus, trace the outline of the image, then "color in" with the stylus to create solid white patterns on the vellum.  If the ball tip drags, run the tip over a white candle to lubricate.

In this example, I stamped the greeting first, after determining where it should go by using the stencil as a guide.  Next, I dry embossed the ornament and bow and snow to create a soft look. Both stencil and stamp are by Stampendous Rubber Stamps.

Stamp and emboss christmas trees image with copper embossing powder on black confetti cardstock. Using a craft knife, cut away the inside of the trees. Mount image on sponged background and then on a folded black
card.

Glitter Stamping

1. On colored glossy cardstock, stamp an image
and emboss with foil & flocking EP.

2. In this example, I sprinkled the top of the
ornaments with silver glitter, then stamped the
    bottom with a contrasting color.

3. Emboss or Glitter Stamp a greeting, if desired.

BOO! HALLOWEEN CARD

MATERIALS:

1 piece of yellow-orange card stock, 5.5" x 8.5"
2 scraps of black cover stock
14K Pumpkin embossing powder
White Sparkle Embossing powder
Stamps: 345G Spiderweb, 275C Boo!, and 343I Skeleton
black dye ink pad
clear embossing ink pad
thin black marker
foam tape
two-sided tape
scissors
ruler

1) This easy-to-make Halloween card starts with stamping the skeleton stamp on a piece of black card stock with clear embossing ink. Emboss the skeleton with the White Sparkle embossing powder. Then trim around the skeleton leaving a black border of about 1/8 inch.

2) Stamp the Boo! stamp on black cover stock with clear embossing ink.  Emboss with the 14K Pumpkin embossing powder. Trim around the image, leaving a 1/8" border on this also.

3) The next step is to stamp the Spider Web stamp in the lower left hand corner of the folded sheet of yellow-orange cover stock leaving a 1/4" to 3/8" border. You may wish to pre-draw a very light line showing where you will be placing the spider web stamp on the gold paper. You may also draw this line around the entire card so you will know where to line up your
black marker.

4) Assembly: Line up the Boo! image at an angle in the upper left hand corner and attach it to the card with 2-sided tape when you have it at the angle you want. Next, line up the skeleton image so it overlaps the Boo! image and extends down to the lower left hand part of your card. Attach it to the card with foam tape so it appears to be jumping out at you.

5) Final touches: Using a fine line marker, extend the lines of the spider web stamp out to form a border around your card. Where the Boo! stamp overlaps the line, stop and leave a little space for emphasis. And, you are done with a spooky skeleton card for Halloween!
