Disposable Palette Paper or other non-porous
surface
Instructions:
L & B Glass paints dry quickly.
If doing a glass vessel, retarder should be added to paint to
slow drying times. Choose 3-4 colors of glass paint. Dribble
1st color of glass paint onto disposable palette paper sheet.
Leave spaces in between for other colors. Repeat with other colors.
Take glass shape and press firmly into paint and remove. Repeat
until desired pattern occurs. Usually in 3-4 pressings. Be careful,
too many pressings will cause paints to mix and cloud. With remainder
of paint, press in as many shapes as possible until paint is
gone.
When doing
a vessel, roll vessel in paint on palette and lift away. Or lay
vessel on flat surface and press palette paper to the vessel,
then pull away. Second technique works well in odd shaped areas.
Some areas may not take paint. Use a small brush and use left
over paint to touch up these areas. L & B glass paints are
non-toxic and may be used on items you eat from. They can be
oven bakes and will be dishwasher safe.

Instructions: Marble a piece of acetate according to above
instructions. Use size that will fit front of your blank card.
Set aside to dry. Trim a small piece (about 2" x 2")
of colored metal with deckle scissors and then punch. Save punch.
Trim acetate to be about ¼" short of card size with
deckle scissors. Adhere to card with gel medium. Use 3-5 pieces
of fibers in 3-4 inch lengths. Bunch up. Arrange to your satisfaction,
making sure the grouping is larger than your metal piece. Adhere
fiber bunch with gel medium. Only use enough medium to attach
fibers loosely and only put gel medium on what will be the down
side. This will let some fibers float away and keep natural texture.
Adhere metal piece, color side up, with gel medium in center
of fiber bunch. Take left over punch and turn aluminum side up.
Adhere with gel medium in bottom corner.
Instructions: Outline shape with paint pin. If desired,
fill in back or create lined edges with paint pin. Wire wrap
to hang. Leave two or so inches when you begin wrap. Loosely
wrap wire in pattern around shape, leaving plenty of space in
middle.
Use pliers as necessary
to create bends. Pattern should end where you began. Leave another
two inches at finish. To create loop, use one of your two 2"
end and trim away all but ½". On the other end trim
away all but ¾". Take the ¾" end and
bend it at a right angle about 1/8" from top of glass shape.
From the bend leave 3/8" and trim away rest.
Use pliers to grip end of 3/8" piece and bend into loop,
that will come back and touch the beginning of right angle bend.
Straighten loop to stand horizontally. Take other wire end and
wrap in coil around 1/8" below loop.
