Decorative Tissue Paper
Tissue paper from RedStick , tell
her I sent you!
Elmers Glue
Water
Paint Brush
After watching
RedStick demo this quick and easy technique at the Atlanta
Stamp show last year, I finally tried it myself. RedStick
was right ... it was was so easy, quick and fun!
Mix Elmer's glue, 2 parts glue to one part water. You don't have
to be overly careful mixing, I actually mixed my glue and water
in a plastic film container by adding glue and then drops of
water until it was the consistency I wanted. Mixture will be
thin, but not runny.
Tear your decorative tissue paper in pieces about the size of
a half dollar and set aside.
Use your paint brush and apply your glue/water mixture to one
small area at a time. Apply a piece of tissue paper to the coated
area of your box, and then apply a coating of glue/water mixture
directly on top of the tissue paper you just applied. Coat the
next area of your box ... and then your next piece of tissue,
etc. Make sure to slightly overlap your pieces of tissue paper
to avoid seams. When you are finished you will have a beautiful
gift or keepsake box!
