Cracked Glass Title Technique
Design Team member Deanna Doyle

Use this technique to create an aged title for cards and scrapbooking pages. You can substitute other words, or use image stamps instead. Or, you can complete the title, "time for…" and use your own word such as Time for Fun, Time for Tea, Time For Christmas, etc. This technique works great with timepiece stamps, but you could also use other shapes.

  1. Stamp your images and letters on white cardstock.
  2. Stamp the background with a crackle or other textured image. Using distress ink adds to the effect.
  3. Trim the pieces and rub the edges with ink.
  4. Add several layers of Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. When cool, bend the pieces to crack the layers of UTEE.
  5. Add droppers of distress ink to the cracked pieces. Wipe excess ink off with a tissue or soft cloth to reveal the aged pieces.
