"Best Fishes for Dad"
Stamp Artist - Diane Moore

Supplies:

  • White card stock
  • chartruese, turquoise and teal cardstock
  • Crayola water-based markers
  • Black Document Ink Pad (or other permanent dye ink pad)
  • Verdigris Pigment Ink Pad
  • Olive Green Embossing Powder
  • Corner Rounder
  • Stamp Positioner
  • Mist Bottle full of water

Directions

Stamp fish image (Fred Mullet - 086 Longnose Butterfly) using the following technique as developed by Fred Mullet.

a. Color stamp with waterbased markers in colors of your choice. (I used kids Crayola brand fat markers)
b. Lightly mist image with spray bottle of plain water and stamp image.
c. Mist and stamp again.
d. Continue misting and stamping until all color is gone from the rubber.
e. Once dry, choose a single image to emphasize. Using a stamp positioner, overstamp image with black archival ink.

Trim stamped sheet. In making this card I probably cut away 2/3 of the images. I think that this technique looks best with the images coming and going on the page.

Using corner round, trim edges of stamped sheet.

Cut coordinating layering paper. For added depth stamp random small fish (The Angel Company) onto background paper if desired. Using corner rounder punch, trim all corners.

5. Using xyron or double-faced tape, adhere all layers to cardstock that has been trimmed and folded for the card.

6. Stamp sentiment (Stampin' Up) in verdigris pigment ink and emboss with olive green embossing powder. Trim and round corners as above. Add layer of coordinating cardstock with rounded corners. Glue or tape to card.
