Congratulations to Jolyn Safron for her winning entry "Beauty of the Nautilus"

"Beauty of the Nautilus"
Stamp Artist - Jolyn Safron

Prepare a piece of cream cardstock using the direct to paper technique and the ColorBox Orient Petal Point inks.  Stamp small Waves, Stamp Zia four times using a stamp positioner to make a square on water paper (pre-printed background paper).

Color with glitter gel pens. Layer on mustard card
stock and then on cardstock prepared using the direct
to paper technique. Stamp the Waves four times and emboss on the paper prepared with DTP and cut out.

Stamp shells (Stampin' Up!) all over a sheet of blue cardstock in matching ink (I think VersaMark would give a similar look). Place the central image on the blue paper and the Waves corners with one in each
corner of the blue paper. Ink various Shell stamps using multiple colors directly on the rubber and stamp on cream cardstock. Cut out images and layer on Waves square.

Emboss words,
Stamp Zia, on bottom of blue paper using peach powder. Using mounting tape, make a frame around the blue paper and apply BeaDazzles (mixture of Jazz and Electic Slide) to the frame.

Supplies:
Black Permanent Ink (Memories)
Ranger Metallic Inkabilities Ink
White Cardstock
Sticker Paper
Silver Embossing Powder
Blue Glitter
Navy Blue Duplex cardstock

Directions:
The open half of the Posh Duet Fish stamp was stamped in black onto cardstock that had been precolored with Ranger Metallic Inkabilities ink. Then I cut them out and placed them onto the sticky side of sticker paper. After this I took silver EP and randomly scattered it onto the sticker paper, then heated the powder. To finish off the background then, I put blue glitter all over the rest of the sticker paper. It sticks really well.

This whole arrangement was then mounted onto navy blue duplex paper cardstock to finish the card.

A CD was painted with black acrylic paint. Once dried, Pearl Blue and Pearl Turquoise Lumieres were painted on the CD. Pearl Blue Lumiere and white acrylic paint were mixed to paint the lighter blue clouds.

Seagull's Roost stamp, G2891 from PSX, and the Dolphin stamp, D-494 from PSX, were stamped using Brilliance Black Graphite on Mactac Starliner sticker paper and embossed. The images were colored using Marvy LePlume II markers and cut out. The backing of the stickers were removed and the images were place appropriately on the CD. A black sharpie was then used to draw waves in the water. Seashells were hot glued just at the base of the Seagull's Roost stamp.

A piece of pink cardstock was cut into a triangle and layered on a piece of teal cardstock with the same shape. The CD was hot glued onto the pink cardstock. Two shell charms were hot glued onto the top corners of the pink cardstock. Twine was colored with Metallic Gold Lumiere. Once dried, the twine was hot glued to the sides of the triangle to form a loop at the top to attach to the wall. Where the two twine ends meet at the bottom of the triangle, a dolphin fimo charm was attached.

"Aquarium Card"
Stamp Artist - Jenifer Chambers

Aquarium Card Inside View
Stamp fish scene 2 times on white cardstock. Emboss. Cut one out leaving a 3/8" border on all sides. Paint fish & bubbles with Radiant Pearls. Emboss. Paint the rest of the scene (using diluted Ancient Aqua for the water).

On the second image, duplicate the painting & embossing of several of the fish and coral. Cut these out.

Cut out center of the foam board so that you have a 3/8" frame to fit around the fish scene. Paint the inside cut edges of the foam frame with Lumiere Paints to match the scene. Glue frame to the trimmed, painted scene.
Embellish the "aquarium" floor using glue, Perfect fx &/or MicaLites and tiny seashells. Glue beads over larger bubbles. Use glue, mounting tape & pop dots to mount the duplicated portions of the scene at various heights.

On one short side of the 4 1/2" x 6 3/8" black piece, score 2 lines, 3/8" and 5/8" from the edge. Fold along both lines keeping the black side out. Wrap the folded edge around the left front & side of the foam frame. Glue in
place leaving the back free to swing open. Glue the transparency piece over the front of the foam frame.

On remaining black piece, cut out center leaving a 3/4" frame. Score 1/4" in from all four outer edges. Fold along each line making one small cut at each corner to form the black frame. Glue corners. Fit over the front of the
foam frame and glue in place.

Fold water print paper in 1/2, printed side out. Fold again, printed side in forming a tiny pleat in the center fold. Stamp and emboss sentiment on right side. Embellish with fish stickers. Use double stick tape along outer edges and secure inside the card. Do not tape at the center fold as the pleat will allow the card to open and close easily.

Double-stick Tape

Instructions

I stamped the Lighthouse image onto white cardstock with a black stamp pad. I colored in the image with Radiant Pearls. I trimmed the picture using a Wave Fiskars Paper Edgers scissors. The Periwinkle Blue paper was run through the Paper Crimper. The lighthouse piece was attached to the blue paper with double-stick tape and then I trimmed the blue paper with the Fiskars 12" paper trimmer. I attached the picture to some white typing paper and trimmed it with the Fiskars 12" paper trimmer.

The Re-Entry Red cardstock was cut to 5.5"x10" and perforated lightly at 5" with the Fiskars large rotary paper cutter to make it easier to fold. Then the layers were attached to the red cardstock with double-stick tape.

Supplies:
Acetate, Document Ink, alcohol re-inkers, dye ink
Bleach, tiny shells, mounting foam, Lyra Metallic Pencils, Glossy white cardstock, dark blue cardstock, glue stick, Bleach, water, markers (Fabrico), Clear embossing powder

Rubber Stamps: all from Sunday International

Steps:
Stamp large image on acetate with Document ink and set aside to dry.  On white glossy, apply several colors of alcohol re-inkers, in shades of blues, reds, and yellows. Stamp the seashells randomly, using Document ink, and cut out each shell.

"Shells Shaker"
Stamp Artist - Mary Garvey
On white glossy, scribble with several Lyra pencils - keeping in mind the image that will be stamped on this later, scribble so that it looks like waves or wind. Next, swirl on several colors of blues and greens. Spritz
with water. Stamp large image with Document Ink. Apply Bleach to lighten areas. Re-color areas that were lightened, with Fabrico markers. The next step was a happy accident. I applied adhesive to the front of colored image, meaning to stick the acetate right on top of it, but I goofed it. I had to pull the acetate off, and instead covered the sticky area with clear EP and heat. I then applied the acetate on top by just adhering the edges together. I then created the frame and made a shaker card (using foam tape around the edges), and using real tiny shells inside. Attach the paper shells to the frame with glue stick.

Technique Used: Zana's (AKA Stamp Zia) w/ Acetate

1) Create background with Posh Impression Rainbow Sponge Luminous Metallics set.

2) Stamp image with Colorbox 5489 Royal Blue Pigment ink over background and emboss with clear EP.

3) Trim panel with ProvoCraft Paper Shaper Scissors.4) Attach to mint green CS and trim edges free hand.5) Attach assembly to blush CS.

Fred Mullett Rockfish #FM-053-L
PSX Jasmine Branch stamp
StampIt! Block Group 6 stamp #M1706
I got the rock background stamp as a used un-mounted stamp. (I do not know the manufacturer)
Red Castle has some similar background stamps.

This is a scenery picture that I did using a lot of different stamps. The mermaid stamp is the "Starfish Queen" from Time to Stamp. The ocean in the background with the land to the left is (#559N) from Beeswax. The large rocks (behind the mermaid) is from Love You to Bits. The seagulls and grass are from Art Impressions. The sand, crabs and sandcastle (unknown/unmarked stamps). The card was first stamped in black using a Marvey Matchable stamp pad on glossy card stock. I started by stamping the mermaid image. After that, I used Masking Magic to mask the mermaid image, in order to stamp the rocks, plants and sand around her. I then masked off these images, so I could stamp the large background stamp of the ocean and land.

"A Mermaids Day by the Sea"
Stamp Artist - Victoria Carothers
Then I finished it off with the seagulls. This picture was colored using the stippling method with Marvey Matchable ink pads and stipple brushes. The white was added to the cresting waves using a gel pen. The mermaid was colored with LePlume pens and then I added a metallic-flake nail polish over her fish tail to give the appearance of scales. It was then layered with black cardstock and then again with a deep blue.
